The Canadian Urban Institute's annual Brownie Awards program recognizes leadership, innovation and environmental sustainability in brownfields redevelopment across Canada. Working with key industry and professional organizations, the Canadian Urban Institute presents its awards at its Brownfields conference, held in October each year.

The Canadian Urban Institute's Urban Leadership Awards Program recognizes those who have made outstanding contributions to our public realm and the quality of urban life.

The fifth annual Urban Leadership Awards Luncheon will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto.

In addition to the presentation of the Jane Jacobs Lifetime Achievement Award, awards will be presented in City Renewal, City Soul, City Livability, City Initiatives, City Youth and Local Hero categories.
