Action Niagara: The Economics of Smart Growth

This high-impact, one-day event provided inspiration and insight into the principles of smart growth that underscore community and set the tone for a longer-term process of assessing the region’s strengths, meeting challenges and building a common sense of purpose.
Debbie Zimmerman, CEO of Grape Growers of Ontario and Councillor for Grimsby chaired the conference, with keynote presentation from Storm Cunningham, Executive Director, Revitalization Institute and luncheon address from Hon. David Caplan, Minister, Public Infrastructure Renewal.
Delegates had the opportunity to participate in range of discussions and hear from key individuals including Rino Mostacci, Director, Community Development and Services, Town of Fort Erie; and Tony Miele, President and Chief Executive Officer, Ontario Realty Corporation. Plus insight into Vancity Credit Union in British Colombia.
