The Canadian Urban Institute is a leading independent convener of conferences, seminars and workshops on urban issues. We bring together urban practitioners from the private, public and not-for-profit sectors to participate in events with top thinkers, leading experts and decision-makers from Canada and abroad.

The Canadian Urban Institute presents monthly Roundtable Breakfast Seminars and organizes major Conferences and workshops on its own behalf and in partnership with other organizations. The latest offering from the Canadian Urban Institute is our Urban Leadership Series, which provides a forum to learn from and debate with individuals making their mark as outstanding urban leaders.

CUBAN INSTITUTE OF PHYSICAL PLANNING: Regional and Urban Planning Con   Date: September 14-18, 2009

Location: Havana, Cuba
You are invited to join urban planners and practitioners from across Cuba and around the Latin America and Caribbean region in an exchange of ideas and a sharing of good practice. On this 50th anniversary of the planning system, Cuba wishes to promote a global exchange with international professionals and institutions as it revisits the role of planning toward urban, regional and national development. The XIII Regional and Urban Planning Convention will be held in Havana, September 14-18, 2009.

This event is supported in part by the Canadian Urban Institute (CUI) within the framework of its International Urban Partnerships Program, which is funded by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).

Please note that the main language of the conference is Spanish but that English interpretation will be available at plenary sessions.
